Tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia flared again
On a visit to Russia, Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a press conference after their meeting in the capital Moscow.
“RMENISTAN DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE AGREEMENT”
Referring to the agreements made between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on Karabakh in 2020 and 2021, Bayramov said: “Armenia does not implement these agreements. The Armenian formations have not yet withdrawn from the territory of Karabakh, and the issue of mines remains a sensitive issue for Azerbaijan. The maps of the fields with the mines issued by Armenians are missing and this leads to tragic events every week.” he used the phrases.
Emphasizing that Armenia does not use the Lachin corridor for humanitarian purposes, Bayramov said: “The process of opening communication and transport corridors between the western borders of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Region has been delayed.” he said he.
“WE ARE IN SIGNIFICANT AGREEMENT”
Referring to the question of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Bayramov continued as follows:
*Azerbaijan prepared the draft according to 5 basic principles and submitted it to Armenia. Two rounds of negotiations followed. We present the third package of views on the peace agreement to the Armenian side.
*We believe that it is possible to hold the third round of negotiations on the draft peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan by the end of the year.
*The Almaty Declaration and the United Nations (UN) Charter are a good basis for moving forward in this regard. On this basis, relationships can be improved.
* We are in favor of solving the current problems and signing a peace agreement with Armenia.

Noting the importance of implementing the agreements between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said: “These documents are a solid and reliable basis for the solution of all problems, including the removal of obstacles in transport and economic links, the demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the signing of a peace agreement”. he said.
Referring to the platform for regional cooperation in the 3+3 format regarding the South Caucasus region, Lavrov shared the information that preparations have been made for the meeting in the aforementioned format.
Lavrov stated that “intensive” work on the “North-South” International Transport Corridor Project continues, saying: “This is an important advantage for all carriers operating between Asia and Europe.
