German President: North Macedonia is part of the European family

Steinmeier said: “North Macedonia is part of the European family. North Macedonia will enrich the EU not only culturally but also in terms of foreign policy and security. Your country is 100 percent dependent on the EU’s foreign policy positions.” she said she.
Referring to the importance of ratifying the constitutional changes in the country, Steinmeier stressed that it is important for North Macedonia to continue with the reforms.
Steinmeier noted that North Macedonia is a reliable NATO partner and provides significant support for Ukraine.
Referring to relations between Kosovo and Serbia, Steinmeier said: “I can say that the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo is of immediate interest to the entire EU.” he said.

North Macedonia’s President Pendarovski declared that the visit of a German president to his country was the first visit in 15 years.
Pendarovski emphasized that the meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere and that his country is determined in the EU membership negotiations.
