About the publisher: I am continually amazed at the lack of consistency on the part of pro-life advocates. If they really want every pregnancy to result in childbirth, why haven’t they tried to ban men from having vasectomies? If women can’t terminate an unwanted pregnancy, men shouldn’t be able to prevent their sperm from causing one. Fair is fair, and equal treatment is supposedly protected by the constitution.

Of course this is all crazy, but let’s be honest and admit it’s all about controlling women. Period of time.

About the editor: I’m pro-choice, but I can’t understand why many people who support abortion rights recognize that those who oppose abortion generally believe it’s murder and control over women’s bodies is much less of an issue

Until the initial concern is resolved, the controversy will continue.

In addition, some pro-choice advocates advocate abortion at any age of the fetus. The problem with even partial compromise is the same problem we see with immigration reform and gun control: neither side trusts the other because some people want guns and some people want open borders.

In either case, it’s not the majority, but it’s enough to scare the other side into giving in.

About the editor: Robin Abcarian’s column on the threat to contraceptive access is worthy and inspiring. But I disagree that “women of childbearing age in the United States should be very, very scared.”

Instead, women should be very, very angry so they can stand up and scream at the top of their lungs.

Women must be very, very angry to protest against others taking away their freedoms.

Women need to be very, very angry so that they can move forward with determination and strength to end this war against us all.
