The experienced 52-year-old Croatian coach, who coached Trabzonspor earlier this season, left his position on October 11 due to negative results.

On November 15, Union Berlin parted ways with Urs Fischer, who had managed the team since 2018. The team made a significant change by appointing Bjelica to the position of coach.

Regarding Bjelica’s appointment, Union Berlin Club president Dirk Zingler said on the website: “We have appointed an experienced coach who has successfully worked in several countries.
