Riots in Bayern after the Galatasaray game!

Bayern Munich provoked reactions with its different choice of shirt in the Galatasaray match

Although the German team won the Bayern Munich-Galatasaray match played on Wednesday night in the Champions League with a score of 2-1, the fans of the home team reacted against the club because of the shirt it was wearing.

Bayern Munich secured their place in the round of 16 of the Champions League with their victory against our representative Galatasaray. However, Bayern fans took to the field wearing their second shirt, despite being the home team and having priority in the shirt option for the match.

The German giant wore the jersey in black and purple colors instead of the traditional red and white jersey. As a result, a banner was displayed in the south stands of the Allianz Arena criticizing the decision: “The club’s colors are inviolable.”

THE REACTION HAS ALSO BEEN SHOWN IN THE PAST

This reaction from Bayern fans is not the first. In 2018, fans who did not want the club to wear shirts with other colors showed their opposition with the banners they opened.

Referring to the first paragraph of the statutes of the Bayern Munich club, the fans state in the first paragraph of the statutes that the club’s colors are red and white. For this reason, the campaign launched by Bayern Munich fans and supporters clubs is called “Paragraph 1”. However, there are no specifications for the design and colors of the shirt.

PROTESTED IN UEFA

Fans also carried banners protesting the format of next season’s UEFA Champions League:

“95% of us fans love football, 5% are idiots who exploit football. Stop the reforms of the UEFA Champions League and the plutocracy of the European Club Association. “To hell with UEFA.”
