It was revealed that he was doping before the World Cup

Papu Gómez was suspended for doping

Alejandro “Papu” Gómez was in great shock after the anti-doping control that was carried out while celebrating the Argentine National Team championship in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The experienced footballer, who was found to have a banned substance during controls carried out shortly before the 2022 World Cup, was suspended from football for two years for this reason.

According to some sources, Gómez, who played for Sevilla last season and won the UEFA Europa League championship, drank his son’s baby syrup without the club’s doctors knowing.

It is claimed that this syrup caused the doping test to be positive.

After these events, Sevilla parted ways with the experienced footballer in the final hours of the transfer period.

Papu Gómez decided to continue his football career at this club, signing in September for Monza, one of the Serie B teams. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
