Terrorist attack in Brussels: UEFA decision to observe a moment of silence

UEFA took action after the tragic attack in Brussels.

Following the death of two Swedish fans in yesterday’s attack, UEFA made a statement and said: “In memory of the two victims of the terrorist attack that took place yesterday in Brussels, a minute’s silence will be observed at all qualifying matches. for Euro 2024, which will be played tonight.” It was said.

On the other hand, the qualifying match for Euro 2024 played yesterday between Belgium and Sweden was interrupted due to this painful incident. After the attack in Brussels, the first half of the match was stopped for security reasons.

After the two Swedish fans lost their lives in the attack, the suspect in the incident was also shot, neutralized and died in hospital. (AA)
