Attack on the Re’im Peace Festival: former footballer Lior Asulin was killed by Hamas
A former professional footballer also lost his life in the attack on the ‘Peace Festival’ held in the village of Re’im, Israel.
According to the statement made by his former club, Hapoel Tel Aviv, in X; Lior Asulin (43) was killed in an attack by Hamas militants.
In the Israeli club’s statement, “We have learned with great sadness that our former player Lior Asulin was murdered by terrorists at the party in Re’im, hours after he was declared missing. “As a Hapoel Tel Aviv club, we offer our deepest condolences and strength to Lior’s family at this difficult time.” Statements were included.
HE WAS CELEBRATING HIS BIRTHDAY
Asulin was celebrating his birthday (October 6) at the festival. He celebrated his greatest sporting success in 2004 by winning the Israel Cup with his former club, Ichud Bnei Sachnin. Asulin scored twice in a 4-1 victory over Hapoel Haifa in the final.
HLUTI’S GRANDFATHER WAS ALSO KILLED
On the other hand, it was announced that Rekha Hluti, the grandmother of Ilona Hluti, who played for the Israeli club, died as a result of the attack by Hamas militants.
