Four gold medals and one silver from Simone Biles
On the ninth and final day of the 52nd World Artistic Gymnastics Championships held at the Sports Hall Hall in Antwerp, Belgium, there was final excitement in balance and floor beam for women, and board vault, parallel bar and pull-ups for men.
On the women’s balance beam, American Simone Biles won the gold medal with 14,800 points, while China’s Yaqin Zhou won the silver medal with 14,700 points and Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade won the bronze medal with 14,300 points.
On the floor beam, the American Simone Biles again won the gold medal with 14,633 points, while the Brazilian Rebeca Andrade won the silver medal with 14,500 points, and the other Brazilian Flavia Saraiva won the bronze medal with 13,966 points .
While the American Simone Biles won four gold medals and one silver in the organization, one in the team, the Brazilian Rebeca Andrade won one gold medal, three silver and one bronze in the team.
In the men’s category, the Japanese Daiki Hashimoto stood out with three gold medals, one of them in the team category.
MEDAL WINNERS ANNOUNCED
In the men’s diving board, Britain’s Jake Jarman won the gold medal with 15.050 points, American Khoi Young won the silver medal with 14.849 points and Ukraine’s Nazar Chepurnyi won the bronze medal with 14.766 points.
On the parallel bars, Germany’s Lukas Dauser came first with 15,400 points, China’s Cong Shi came second with 15,066 points, and Japan’s Kaito Sugimoto came third with 15,000 points.
In pull-ups, Japan’s Daiki Hashimoto won the gold medal with 15,233 points, Croatia’s Tin Srbic won the silver medal with 14,700 points, and China’s Weide Su won the bronze medal with 14,500 points.
