TTF Ankara Tennis Center: a new era in Turkish tennis

Turkish Tennis Federation President Cengiz Durmuş made important statements in his interview with AA about the tennis center being built in Ankara. Durmuş said: “In the centenary of our Republic, in the Turkish century, the center of Turkey is now also the center of tennis. “The TTF Ankara Tennis Center, equipped with a total of 14 courts, including 1 central one, in an area of ​​83 hectares, will be a great focus of attention for both the domestic and international tennis world.” saying.

President Durmuş stated that the facility has international standards and will become a center that will host the main figures of the tennis world, adding: “This facility will become the new home of the best organizations, athletes and all tennis fans. tennis in the world”. he said, adding: “We plan to host prestigious tournaments at this facility. “As Turkey, we play an active role on the world tennis stage by organizing almost 600 national and more than 200 international tournaments every year.”

Referring to the successes of young Turkish tennis players in the international arena, Durmuş said: “As the best athletes in the world come to our country, the performance of our young talents gradually increases. Our young people, who have the opportunity to meet the best, gain more experience. For example, Carlos Alcaraz reached the final in Antalya three years ago and then rose to the top of the world. This success makes other young people say, “We can be successful too.” Europe is a prominent continent in tennis. Our young representatives came second in Europe. We leave behind strong competitors like Spain and the Czech Republic. We only lost the championship by losing the final against France. However, we hope that these successes become permanent. Durmuş stated that the TTF Ankara Tennis Center will be an important center not only at the national level but also at the international level.

We have determined our strategy for achieving success and are taking decisive steps in this direction.
