Verstappen won in Formula 1, Red Bull became champion
The Dutch driver of the Red Bull team, Max Verstappen, won the Japanese Grand Prix in the Formula 1 World Championship.
The 17th stage of the championship was held over 53 laps on the 5,807 kilometer Suzuka International Circuit in Japan.
Verstappen crossed the finish line first with a time of 1.30.58.421. British McLaren driver Lando Norris came second and his teammate, Australian Oscar Piastri, came third.
Red Bull Racing secured the 2023 F1 constructors’ championship following Verstappen’s victory at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, the organization’s clear championship candidate, has 13 wins, his teammate Sergio Pérez has 2 wins and Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has 1 win. The sixth stage of the season, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, was canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
The 18th race of the championship, the Qatar Grand Prix, will be held on October 8.
