Liverpool reject crazy offer from Saudi Arabia’s Mohamed Salah

Liverpool rejected a verbal offer from the Saudi Professional League to sign Mohamed Salah.

The offer, valued at over £100 million plus key add-ons, was ignored and quickly rejected. This approach was made during a friendly phone call on behalf of Al Ittihad to Liverpool manager Mike Gordon on Thursday night.

However, the Anfield club reiterated that the 31-year-old is not for sale and the case is closed.

However, this opinion is not shared by the Saudis, who are expected to maintain a keen interest.

Salah signed a new three-year deal last summer, making him the highest-paid player in Liverpool history at around £350,000 a week.

Salah, who scored 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season, was recently promoted to club captain by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Salah, who has made three appearances for Liverpool this season, scored in the win against Bournemouth last month.
