The Champions League beats Guardiola and Haaland

The awards given to the best footballers and coaches of the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League season found their owners.

The prizes were awarded after the draw for the group stage at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Josep Guardiola, who played a major role in Manchester City’s first Champions League victory in its history, won the best men’s coach award and Erling Haaland won the best men’s soccer player award.

Aitana Bonmati, who won the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the Spanish League with Barcelona and the FIFA Women’s World Cup with the Spanish National Team, was chosen as the best soccer player.

Sarina Wiegman, who led England to the European Championship in 2022 and second in the world in 2023, won the best coach award. (AA)
