Aston Villa bus was attacked on the road after Burnley’s victory
The Aston Villa team bus was attacked on the road as the team was returning to the Midlands after their victory at Burnley.
The incident occurred at junction 10 of the M65 after Aston Villa had won the Premier League 3-1. The bus was reportedly badly damaged after a brick was thrown at its windshield.
In a statement on the matter, the Burnley club said: “It is with sadness and horror that Burnley Football Club learned of the attack on the Aston Villa team bus at junction 10 of the M65 after today’s game. In our conversation with Villa, we were relieved to learn that no one was injured in the incident. We strongly condemn this behavior and support Lancashire Police in their efforts to find those responsible.” statements were included.
