Early farewell to the favorites at the Canadian Open
Favorite tennis players Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune and Andrey Rublev, who competed at the Canadian Open, were eliminated in the second round of the tournament.

World number 4 Greek Tsitsipas lost 2-0 to French rival Monfils, 36, after 6-4 6-3 sets. World number 6 Rune of Denmark, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to Marcos Giron of the USA after 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 sets. World number 7 Russian Rublev also became the other favorite tennis player to leave the tournament early after losing 2-0 (6-4, 6-3) against Mackenzie McDonald of the USA.
World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz defeats American Ben Shelton (6-3, 7-6); The world number 3, Daniil Medvedev, for his part, defeated Italian Matteo Arnaldi with a score of 2-0 (6-2, 7-5). (AA)
