Arsenal’s rising star Kai Havertz disappoints in MLS All-Star Talent Contest
At the MLS All-Star Talent Show, Arsenal star Kai Havertz suffered his first failure to score points and was ridiculed by fans of his former club Chelsea.
Havertz became the first person not to score in 14 innings on the challenge crossover and then volley. Arsenal lost in this special event as a result of both Havertz’s poor form and Folarin Balogun’s difficulty in taking down.
While some Arsenal fans were disappointed with the poor performance of their new signings, other football fans were cynical about the situation. Among those cynical fans were Chelsea fans, who sold Havertz for £65m this summer.
“ENDING THE BATTLES…”
“Kai Havertz is setting the world on fire with his finishing shots,” said one Chelsea fan, then shared a series of laughing emojis. Another said it was amazing to sell the German soccer player for £65m and then shared laughing emojis.
Arsenal fans were divided. While some stated that this situation did not really matter, others were concerned about this situation. A Gunners supporter said: “Honestly, it doesn’t look good. I’m starting to get really upset, especially after buying it for this amount. I hope he recovers.” saying.
“I think we made a mistake about KAI HAVERTZ”
Another Arsenal fan quipped: “I think we ordered the wrong Kai Havertz.”
“Now I understand that Mikel Arteta says that Havertz will play in midfield this season,” another fan wrote.
“FINAL OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, WORLD CUP…”
ESPN’s Hérculez Gómez tried to put some perspective on the situation, saying: “The final goalscorer of the Champions League. World Cup scorer. Don’t worry about the mocking posts. Remember this.” He said.
Arsenal will show more fully what they can do in Wednesday night’s MLS All-Star Game.
From there, they will depart to play Manchester United at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and then conclude their pre-season US tour by playing Barcelona in Los Angeles.
