Yverdon-Sport is definitely in the hands of the Americans

The change of ownership in the Super League promoted by Yverdon is ideal. The Licensing Commission of the Swiss Football League agrees to change the structure of the majority in the Vaud club.

Former President Mario Di Pietrantonio sold 90 percent of his shares to American investors. American Jeffrey Saunders is Di Pietrantonio’s new successor, who led Yverdon from the Classics to the Super League during his nine-year tenure as president. The former professional had previously been president of Portuguese club Estoril for four years.

In Yverdon, Saunders is one of the new shareholders, along with American Jamie Welch, a key player in this American leadership who made his fortune in the energy sector.

With the change of ownership, Yverdon should be guaranteed a long-term stay in the Super League. Di Pietrangelo will remain at the club and will be new to marketing and sponsorship.
