Yuksel Yildirim, owner of Samsunspor, bought 85 percent of Dunkerque! Demba Ba moves…

Samsunspor’s owner, businessman Yüksel Yıldırım, became the owner of 85% of the shares of USL Dunkerquein, the new team in the French League 2. The Association of French Clubs also approved the sale.

A household name has been appointed as sporting director for USL Dunkirk, which will take place in League 2 in the 2023-2024 season. Yıldırım signed an agreement with Demba Ba for the position of sports director.

YÜKSEL YILDIRIM ANNOUNCED THE NEW MODEL

Stating that he wants to create a football model that has not been implemented before in Turkey, Yüksel Yıldırım explained the model he is considering establishing as follows:

“I am establishing a football ecosystem with Samsunspor at its center. There will also be satellite clubs around Samsunspor. The first of these clubs is Dunkerque from France. The French 2nd League suits us very well. That’s where good players come to our country. Dunkerque will be a club that moves within its budget, stands on its own, trains footballers, rents or sells the footballer who mainly trained Samsunspor. France is the first step. I will also buy clubs from Portugal, Colombia and the Balkans. I will create a win-win business model with Africa. When the purchase processes are complete, the system will be an ecosystem that produces players. The one who will benefit the most from this will be our main team, Samsunspor.”

INFRASTRUCTURE PLAYERS WILL GO TO FRANCE

Yuksel Yildirim said that they will send the footballers from the Samsunspor infrastructure to France to fill in their deficiencies, learn a foreign language and improve, and they will wear Dunkirk uniforms.

Yüksel Yıldırım added that he signed a three-year cooperation agreement with the French League 1 team Toulouse, of which former Fenerbahçe sports director Daniel Comolli is the president. (DHA)
