Real Madrid and Luka Modric have agreed to extend the player’s contract until June 30, 2024.

Luka Modric, 37, signed for Real Madrid in 2012. The experienced footballer, who played 488 games with the Madrid team over 11 seasons, managed to win 23 trophies: 5 Champions League, 5 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 3 La Liga, 2 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.

During his career in Madrid, Modric won the most prestigious individual awards such as the 2018 Ballon d’Or, the 2018 FIFA Best Player Award, the 2017-18 UEFA Player of the Year Award, the Copa del Rey Ballon d’Or Club World Cup 2017. He was also included in the FIFA-FIFPro World 11 for the sixth time in his career this season.
