Olimpia Milano is champion for the second consecutive time

In the seventh and final game of the Italian First Basketball League (Serie A) play-off final series, Olimpia Milano defeated Virtus Bologna 67-55 to become the champion.

In the play-off final, played over seven games, Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna met in the last game of the series with a 3-3 draw at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.

Olimpia Milano took a 21-9 lead in the first quarter of the game with home advantage, and entered the tour with a 38-29 lead. Completing the third quarter with a 48-34 lead, Olimpia Milano maintained its superiority throughout the game and won 67-55 on the field.

Bringing the situation to 4-3 in the series with this score, Olimpia Milano became champion for the second time in a row and for the thirtieth time in total.

Italian basketball player Luigi Datome, who also played for Fenerbahçe for a while, became the game’s top scorer with 16 points at Olimpia Milano, and played an important role in the victory and the championship. (AA)
