Pep Guardiola: “We came to Istanbul to win the cup”

Manchester City will face Inter in the UEFA Champions League final tomorrow at 22:00 CEST at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

The Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, has made some statements at the press conference held at the stadium where the fight will take place before the game. Stating that they came to Istanbul to win the cup, Guardiola said: “We are aware of how important this tournament is. You can’t control people’s thoughts for this match. Our job is to explain Inter well to our players and make sure they do well. It goes without saying that we are the favourites,” he said.

“IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO END THE SEASON WINNING THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE”

Expressing that they want to end the season by winning trophies after the Premier League and FA Cup championships, the Spanish manager said: “We need to make Manchester fans happy. For us it is very important to end the season by winning the Champions League. We are here to make it happen. “We want to win the match,” he said.
