Edwin van der Sar leaves his post at Ajax

Ajax, one of the teams in the Dutch First Football League, reported that the club’s chief executive officer (CEO), Edwin van der Sar, has decided to quit his job.

In the statement issued by the club, it was noted that the 52-year-old Van der Sar, who has been working as a senior coach at the club since 2016, will leave the team. In the statement, it was indicated that Van der Sar was asked to remain in the position until August 1 in order to be able to transfer the national and international archives in the best possible way.

Van der Sar, who has held various positions at the club since 2012, said: “We had great things together, but it was also a very difficult time. I am grateful for what we have achieved and experienced together at Ajax. I need to rest and do other things. That’s why I decided to resign, ”he said. (AA)
