3 Turkish suitors for Milan striker Divock Origi

After AC Milan won the race to sign Divock Origi last summer, the Italian media could not hide their excitement over the arrival of the former Liverpool player.

Origi, 28, was leaving Liverpool at the end of his contract and many clubs were interested in the chance to sign him for free. The Belgian striker impressed Milan at Liverpool, but he hasn’t had the same effect since he came to the club.

Origi’s first year has been described as “far from exciting”, with just two goals in 35 appearances this season, and the club are said to be open to offers for him.

As Origi had received many offers on leaving Liverpool, he managed to push for a long contract with Milan, with a deal running until 2026. Now the club wants to get rid of him and terminate that long contract.

According to Calcio Mercato, Origi is “very popular” in Turkey and clubs like Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Alanyaspor have already taken an interest. Other clubs are expected to join the race and the Rossoneri must pay attention to all offers.
