Ivan Toney, who gambled hundreds of times, is sentenced

Ivan Toney, who scored 20 goals in 33 English Premier League games this season for Brentford, has been given an eight-month ban from football for gambling. The English player will stay away from soccer fields until January 16, 2024.

Also, Toney will not be able to train with his team for the first 4 months.

In the statement from the English Football Association (FA), it was indicated that the 26-year-old footballer breached the betting rules on 30 occasions between March 14, 2017 and February 18, 2019. The FA also pointed out in its November statement that Toney violated the betting rules 232 times between February 25, 2017 and January 23, 2021.

The 27-year-old striker made his England debut in the match against Ukraine on March 26, 2023.
