Alex de Souza’s Avai adventure was short-lived

Avai, one of the teams in the 2nd Brazilian Soccer League (Serie B), parted ways with coach Alex de Souza.

In the statement issued by the club, it was indicated that the ways parted in agreement with De Souza and his assistants, and he wished the 45-year-old Brazilian coach success in his new career.

Alex de Souza, who previously coached the Sao Paulo under-20 team, had 6 wins, 3 draws and 9 losses in 18 official matches at Avai, where he signed a contract at the beginning of the year. The Brazilian team is in 16th place with 3 losses and 1 victory in the league, which has 4 weeks left.

Alex de Souza, who played for Fenerbahçe between the 2004-12 seasons during his football career, left his mark among the club’s legendary players with 171 goals and 147 assists in 344 games in all lanes. (AA)
