The NBA Lakers reach the conference semifinals
The NBA play-offs continued with 2 games. Finishing the regular season in 7th place in the Western Conference, the Lakers eliminated the conference runner-up Memphis Grizzlies after 6 games.
D’Angelo Russell was the top scorer on the field with 31 points for the host Lakers. LeBron James played an important role in the victory with 22 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and Anthony Davis with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Santi Aldama scored 16 points, Desmond Bane 14 and Jaren Jackson 14 points for the Grizzlies, who shot 30.2 percent from the field.
The Kings take the series to the final game
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Golden State Warriors 118-99 in the first round of the Western Conference, making the series 3-3. The Kings were led by Malik Monk, who had 28 points and 7 rebounds, and De’Aaron Fox, who had a double-double with 26 points, 11 assists, and 3 steals.
Stephen Curry had 29 points, 5 assists and Klay Thompson had 22 points for the Warriors, last season’s champions.
The winner of the final game in Sacramento will face the Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals.
