The play-offs in the NBA continued with 3 games. The Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 122-113 at home to take the series 2-0.
The Nuggets maintained their home field advantage by beating the Timberwolves in the second game of the Western Conference first round, where Jamal Murray led the way with 40 points and 5 assists.
Together with Murray, Nikola Jokic contributed to the victory with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, and Michael Porter Jr. added 16 points and 6 rebounds for the Nuggets.
Anthony Edwards’ 41 points, 4 assists and Rudy Gobert’s 19 points and 8 rebounds for the visiting team could not prevent defeat.
BUCKS WINS WITHOUT GIANNIS
In the Eastern Conference first round game, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Miami Heat 138-122 at home to make the series 1-1.
In the game, the star player Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play due to injury, Brook Lopez for the Bucks had 25 points, 4 rebounds, Jrue Holiday 24 points, 11 assists, and Pat Connaughton 22 points and 4 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler’s 25 points, Bam Adebayo’s 18 points and Gabe Vincent’s 16 points could not stop the Heat.
EQUAL SERIES OF GRIZZLIES
At home, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 103-93 to take a 1-1 lead in the Western Conference first-round series.
Xavier Tillman with 22 points, 13 rebounds and Jaren Jackson Jr with 18 points and 9 rebounds led the Grizzlies to victory in the fight that Ja Morant was unable to play due to his injury.
For the Lakers, LeBron James had 28 points, 12 rebounds, Rui Hachimura had 20 points, 5 rebounds, and Anthony Davis had 13 points and 9 rebounds. (AA)
