Sales chaos! ‘This job has become a farce’

Sales chaos at Manchester United ‘This business has become a farce’

The Glazer family, owned by English Premier League giant Manchester United, became the focus of criticism. Although the sale, which three buyers have so far offered, has not materialized, Finnish businessman Thomas Zilliacus, one of the suitors, harshly criticized the Glazer family.

Thomas Zilliacus, who was in the race to buy Manchester United with INEOS owner Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, said despite making two offers he has yet to receive a response from the Glazer family. Stating that he would not participate in the third round of proposals on his social media account, the Finnish businessman said: “This business has turned into a farce.”

Stating that the Glazer family has no respect for Manchester United Club, Thomas Zilliacus said: “The delay in the sale makes it difficult for the new owner of the club to build a winning team next season. The Glazer family does not look at the event from a sporting point of view, but only from a financial point of view, ”he said.

TWO CANDIDATES REMAIN

After Thomas Zilliacus announced that he would not make a new offer for Manchester United, the giant club was left with two suitors.

The race for the purchase of Manchester United will be between Jim Ratcliffe and Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani.

According to the information received, Jim Ratcliffe wants to buy part of the club, while Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani wants to buy the whole. Part of the Glazer family intends to retain part of the club, while others intend to sell it entirely. For this reason, the sales process cannot be concluded in any way.

GARYY NEVILLE ALSO CRITICIZES

A criticism of the Glazer family came from former footballer Gary Neville, one of Manchester United’s legendary names.

Gary Neville, who complained that the Glazer family did not invest enough in the club, drew attention to the fact that Old Trafford, where Manchester United play their games, was not among the 10 stadiums where the organization will play in the England’s bid as host. for Euro 2028.

Gary Neville said the Glazer family made Old Trafford, once one of the best stadiums in the world, unable to break into the top 10 in England. Adding that this situation is shameful, Gary Neville said: “Old Trafford is now a rusty stadium because there is not enough investment.”
