Expected record for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Compared to the previous ones, tickets for the matches of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, where 32 teams will participate for the first time, were in high demand.

650,000 tickets have already been sold for the World Cup, which will be jointly organized by Australia and New Zealand, 100 days before the start of the tournament. It is expected to break a record with a total of 1.5 million tickets sold until the first day of the tournament.

Commenting on the issue, FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura said: “FIFA’s goal is to host the biggest and best World Cup ever held this year. With 100 days to go before the start of the tournament, the common voice of this emotion that we live together will resonate in the World Cup.

OPENING MATCH AT EVEN PARK STADIUM

More than 100,000 football fans are expected to flock to Auckland City ahead of the opening match between New Zealand and Norway, which will be played at the 50,000-capacity Eden Park Stadium.

Fans can purchase tickets for tournament matches on the “FIFA.com/tickets” website. For sales made by reservation, a fee of $20 for adults and $10 for children is required for a single match in the tournament.

The tournament, which will host 64 competitions, will be held from July 20 to August 20. (AA)
