FIFA extends sanction to Fabio Paratici worldwide
Fabio Paratici, football director of Tottenham, one of the teams in the English Premier League, has been sanctioned worldwide by FIFA.
Paratici, who was the Italian team’s sporting director during Juventus’ financial corruption investigation, was sentenced to 30 months of disqualification. The 50-year-old and Juventus appealed the decision, while Paratici, whose ban only applies in Italy, joined Tottenham in 2021.
However, FIFA announced that the Paratici ban decision was extended to the world at the request of the Italian Football Federation. For this reason, Tottenham, which is looking for a coach instead of coach Antonio Conte, will have to look for a football director instead of Paratici.
Paratici, who made a statement on the club’s website the other day, said he and his club are focused on the future and finding a replacement.
THE WHOLE MANAGEMENT HAS RESIGNED
The entire Juventus board, including president Andrea Agnelli and vice president Pavel Nedved, resigned in November amid a police investigation into the club’s transfers. Juventus were later penalized with a 15-point deduction in January. The Serie A giant has been accused of correcting the balance with irregularities in the costs of signings.
