Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, now in the Hall of Fame
Veteran managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have been inducted into the English Premier League Hall of Fame.
In the statement posted on the Premier League website, it was noted that former Manchester United manager Ferguson and Wenger, who had coached Arsenal in recent years, were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The 81-year-old Ferguson, who worked for Manchester United from 1986 to 2013, has won 13 league titles. The Scottish coach, who holds the title of manager with the most Premier League championships, had 528 wins in 810 Premier League games, where he was voted manager of the year 11 times.
Wenger, on the other hand, led Arsenal to the championship 3 times, where he served from 1996-2018. The 73-year-old French coach made league history by turning his team into undefeated champions in the 2003-2004 season. Wenger, who had 476 wins in 828 games in the Premier League, was awarded manager of the year 3 times.
Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021 by Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank Lampard, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, and last year by Wayne Rooney, Patrick Vieira, Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes and Ian Wright were selected.
