Max Verstappen was eliminated in the second session in Saudi Arabia

In the Formula 1 World Cup, the second stage of the season, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the Mexican driver of the Red Bull team Sergio Pérez will start from the front row.

Pérez, who achieved a time of 1 minute and 28.265 seconds in the qualifying laps of the race to be held on the 6.1-kilometre Corniche Track in the city of Jeddah, took pole position. Monaco’s Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) finished second, 0.155 seconds behind the leader, and Spain’s Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), who lapped 0.465 seconds slower than Perez, took third place.

Meanwhile, defending champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who won the first race in Bahrain, was eliminated in the second session due to a problem with his car and was ranked 15th.

The 50-lap race in Saudi Arabia will take place tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. (AA)
