Mergim Berisha invited to the German National Team

Mergim Berisha, whom Fenerbahçe transferred from RB Salzburg in 2021, was called up to the German National Team.

The 24-year-old forward, who was signed by the Yellow-Navy Blues for 5 million euros and with high hopes, could not give the expected shine in Istanbul. Berisha, who was able to score 8 goals and give 3 assists in 32 games for Fenerbahçe, was loaned out in the first game of this season, although he scored against Ümraniyespor.

The 24-year-old German striker, who spent time on loan at Bundesliga club Augsburg, managed to turn heads with 8 goals-4 assists in 18 appearances in Germany.

The successful striker managed to earn the admiration of the coach of the German national team Hansi Flick with his performance in the Bundesliga.

The German version of Sky Sports announced that Berisha has been called up to the Germany national team for the group stage matches of the 2024 European Championship Qualifiers.
