Lionel Messi gives a 24-carat gold iPhone to his teammates in Argentina
Lionel Messi paid £175,000 for 35 gold-plated iPhones for his friends and staff from the World Cup-winning Argentina team.
The Argentine star ordered the 24-karat devices for each team member and shipped them to his Paris apartment on Saturday. The player’s name, number and logo of Argentina appeared on each phone. A source said: “Lionel wanted to do something special and eye-catching to celebrate his proudest moment. The entrepreneur contacted Ben Lyons and they did the design together.” he used his statements.
“MESSI LOVES THIS IDEA”
Ben Lyons, CEO of iDesign Gold, said: “Lionel is not only GOAT, but one of iDesign Gold’s most loyal customers and contacted us a few months after the World Cup final. He said that he wanted a special gift for all the players and staff to celebrate the glorious victory, but not the usual gift watch. So I suggested gold iPhones named after him and he loved the idea.” he said.
Lionel Messi, 35, who led the Argentine National Team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, was selected as the player of the tournament where he reached the championship.
