Fabian Schubert remains at St. Gallen. The 28-year-old, who had a contract until June 2023, has signed until the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Schubert moved to St. Gallen from Blau-Weiss Linz in the summer of 2021. In 40 competitive games, the Austrian has scored 13 goals and provided three assists.
After a serious injury, the striker is currently working on a comeback. “FC St. Gallen want to give him full support on the way back and this contract extension will give him the confidence to continue to rely on him and allow him a calm and hopefully quick recovery,” the post reads. .
Sporting director Alain Sutter says: “Fabian showed in the first half of the season that he fits perfectly into our playing system. We are happy to have him with us and hope to see him back on the pitch in our jersey as soon as possible.”
