Sion’s home curve against St. Gallen still open – Sigi suspended for game

Sion fans can follow the home match against St. Gallen on 25 February from the north stand as usual. The Appeal Committee of the Swiss Football League (SFL) granted Vale’s appeal in part.

Due to incidents at a game on 12 November, the SFL decided to close the Tourbillon Stadium home corner in Sion for one game. After a successful appeal, the ban will be suspended for three years. The CHF 20,000 fines for both teams remain in effect.

In mid-November, supporters of Zion pelted St. Gallen’s guest block with pyrotechnics. They returned the material. The SFL then filed a case.

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Sigi has been suspended for one game by the Swiss Football League for a red card against Lucerne on Sunday. So he will miss against Zion.
