Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Atlético de Madrid on matchday 23 of the Spanish First League (LaLiga).

In the 64th minute of the game, whose first half ended goalless, Ángel Correa at Atlético de Madrid saw the red card after elbowing his rival in the doubles fight and leaving his team with 10 players. Atlético de Madrid took the lead with a goal from José María Giménez, who blew the rival nets with a header through the middle by Antoine Griezmann at 78′: 0-1.
