Russell Westbrook heading to the Los Angeles Clippers
On the final day of the trade from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz, the path of 34-year-old Russell Westbrook once again crossed the city of Los Angeles.
The basketball player’s manager, Jeff Schwartz, said in a statement to the US press that the negotiations between Westbrook and the Jazz on the termination of the contract were positive and Westbrook became a free agent.
Schwartz also emphasized that the player, who was selected as an All-Star 9 times, plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, with whom he is in talks.
Westbrook, who is averaging 15.9 points, 7.5 assists and 6.2 rebounds in 52 games this season, moved to the Jazz this month after 3-team and 8-player trades, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves.
With the goal of reaching the playoffs this season, the Los Angeles Clippers are fourth in the Western Conference with 33 wins. (AA)
