Support for the victims of the earthquake in Spain

It has been announced that the proceeds from a soccer tournament to be organized with the initiative of the Crevillent City Council in eastern Spain and former soccer player Juanfran Torres will be donated to the earthquake victims in Turkey.

In a statement about the tournament that will be organized under the name “Finetwork Crevillent Cup”, Marcelino Gimenez, sports councilor for the Crevillent City Council, stated that “we are very proud of our contribution to the urgent humanitarian needs of the Turkish people in this moment”.

Giménez indicated that teams from 8 to 11 years old will participate in the tournament, in which a total of 13 clubs will participate, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Real Betis, Valencia, Atlético de Madrid, and that the tournament will begin. on March 31. He informed that the donation will be delivered to the victims of the earthquake through AFAD.

On the other hand, the former soccer player Juanfran shared a photo on his social networks of Arda Turan and Emre Belözoğlu, with whom he played for a time at Atlético de Madrid, and Emre Çolak, who was loaned to the 3rd league club Intercity, where he was the vice president and said: “This donation was the least I could do for my love for the Turkish people. All my support and all my encouragement are for those affected by the earthquake and especially for you my brothers.”

Proceeds from the tournament will also be used to help children with cancer. (AA)
