Inter couldn’t unblock Sampdoria!

On matchday 22 of the Italian Serie A, Inter drew 0-0 with Sampdoria.

In the closing match of the week, Inter, one of the best teams in the league, was the guest of Sampdoria, which is fighting to stay in the group. Before the competition, a minute’s silence was observed for those who lost their lives in the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria.

In the match played at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Inter couldn’t find the goal they were looking for, although it was close at times. The match ended 0-0 as it started.

With this result, both teams agreed to 1 point each. Inter were affected by this loss of points in the championship race and the points difference between league leaders Napoli increased to 15 after this week’s games.

Sampdoria is in 19th place with 11 points.

Meanwhile, the national football player Hakan Çalhanoğlu in the Inter team started in the first 11 and fought on the field for 90 minutes. Çalhanoğlu wore a black T-shirt with the inscription “Pray for Turkey” to warm up before the game due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which is described as the “disaster of the century”.

A group of Inter fans, who did not leave their teams alone on the road, supported the national player with banners that read “We are close to Turkey and Syria” and “Çalhanoğlu is one of us”. Hakan Çalhanoğlu also thanked his fans for their support from his Instagram account.

For his part, Emirhan İlkhan, the young Turkish player from the Sampdoria squad, was on the bench but did not participate in this match.

In another match of the week, Hellas Verona beat Salernitana 1-0. (AA)
