Zion Williamson’s return is delayed at the Pelicans
Zion Williamson, who was injured during the game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Philadelphia 76ers early last month, will be back on the field later than expected.
In statements by the club’s vice president, David Griffin, it was indicated that Zion Williamson, who began training after his treatment, had a previous problem with the muscles in his right foot and that his return to the courts would be prolonged.
Griffin also stressed that Williamson, who has averaged 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4.6 assists this season, will enter a serious treatment process and his return date has not been clarified.
Zion Williamson, like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, will not be able to play in the NBA All-Star Game to be held on February 20 at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, United States. In place of these players, Anthony Edwards, De’Aaron Fox and Pascal Siakam will enter the field in the starting five. (AA)
