Borussia Dortmund and Nuremberg advance to the quarterfinals

Borussia Dortmund hosted Bochum at the Vonavia Ruhr Stadium on matchday 3 of the German Cup.

In the other game of the 3rd round of the German Cup, Fortuna Düsseldorf faced Nuremberg. The Nuremberg team beat Fortuna Düsseldorf 5-3 on penalties in the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time and extra time, and reached the quarterfinals.
