  • Transfer revenue will become an increasingly important part of women’s football business strategies. According to FIFA data, international transfers and transfer values ​​in women’s football are increasing every year. A total of 696 cross-border transfers in 2018 ($0.6 million total transfer fee), reached 1,304 transfers in 2021 ($2.1 million total transfer fee).
  • In the football industry, female representation on club boards lags far behind other sectors. In the highest-income football clubs, about one in 10 board seats are held by women.
