FIFA announces nominees for best of the year

The nominees for the FIFA Best of the Year 2022 awards have been announced. According to the FIFA statement, the most successful names of the 2021-2022 season in football will be determined through a vote with the participation of the coaches and captains of the national teams, members of the press and the public.

Voting, which began today, will end on February 3. Three finalists in each category will then be determined and the winners will be announced on February 27.

For its part, the goal by Italian footballer Mario Balotelli against Göztepe on May 22, 2022 with Adana Demirspor was among the candidates for the FIFA Puskas Award.
