Paris Saint-Germain wins at 90+6

On matchday 16 of the 1st French soccer league (Ligue 1), which resumed after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, leader Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) hosted Strasbourg, who is on the relegation line.

PSG, without Argentine star Lionel Messi in the squad, finished the first half up 1-0 with a goal from Marquinhos in the 14th minute. In the second half, Marquinhos sent the leather ball into his own goal in the 51st minute and the score reached 1-1. PSG, 90+6. French star Kylian Mbappé made it 2-1 from the field with a second-minute penalty goal.

At PSG, Neymar was sent off with a red card after two yellow cards in two minutes. Neymar, who was given a yellow card in the 61st minute for acting harshly on his opponent, was left on the ground in the Strasbourg penalty area a minute later and received his second card for an action to mislead the referee.

Leaders PSG increased their points to 44 with this win, while Strasbourg remained 19th with 11 points. (AA)
