Two Argentines rejoicing half-naked in the World Cup final fled Qatar

After the Argentina-France match played in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Russia, two Argentine fans, who took off their shirts and were seen naked in the joy of victory, escaped arrest.

At risk of arrest under Qatari laws, the Argentine fans were expelled from the stadium for removing their jerseys. The Argentine fan, who shared the image after the video went viral on social media, said: “I fled Qatar and I am a refugee in the European Union.”

The other fan, who celebrated topless, announced that he fled Qatar and made it to Europe with the video he shared on his social media account.

Prior to the World Cup, dress codes were established for visitors to Qatar. It was recommended to cover the navel and shoulders and skirts, dresses and pants to the knees. Tight clothing or cleavage is not recommended.
