Messi madness! They will print money…

Lionel Messi’s face will be on Argentine money

Lionel Messi’s frenzy in Argentina continues without limits. The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic decided to print banknotes starring Lionel Messi, who gave the country victory in the World Cup 36 years later.

Argentina, who won the World Cup in Mexico in 1986, defeated France in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar and became the owner of the biggest trophy on the recommendation of Lionel Messi. The newspaper El Financiero assured that Messi’s face will be printed on the 1000-peso bill.

If the bank officials’ commemorative coin plan comes to fruition, it won’t be the first in Argentina. They had previously minted commemorative coins when Argentina won their first World Cup in 1978.

Commemorative coins were also minted for the 50th anniversary of the death of the former First Lady of Argentina, Eva Perón.

On the other hand, the home of Lionel Messi, author of two goals against France and selected as the best player of the tournament, in Rosario is still flooded with fans.
