Messi needs 1 goal!

Argentina and the Netherlands are on the field for the semifinals! Messi can go down in history…

The Netherlands and Argentina will face each other tomorrow in the quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Spanish referee Antonio Mateu will direct the match, which will be held at the Lusail Stadium and will begin at 10:00 p.m. The team that passes this round will compete in the final with the winner of the Croatia-Brazil match in the semifinals.

The two teams will meet for the sixth time in the World Cup. While both teams walked away with 2 wins in the previous 5 matches, 1 group match ended goalless.

Argentina, who are in Group C of the World Cup, began the tournament with a shocking 2-1 defeat against Saudi Arabia. By defeating Mexico in the second game and Poland in the third, the tangueros took the last 16 tickets as leaders with 6 points.

Argentina defeated Australia 2-1 in the round of 16 and became the Netherlands’ opponent.

The Netherlands, who began their World Cup adventure with a 2-0 win over Senegal in Group A, defeated hosts Qatar after drawing with Ecuador to finish top of the group with 7 points.

The Netherlands, who beat the United States, second in Group B, 3-1 in the round of 16, had their name written in the quarterfinals.

MESSI CAN MAKE ARGENTINE HISTORY

Airing the nets against Australia, Messi increased the number of goals in the World Cups to 9.

Leaving Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona behind with 8 league goals, Messi will catch up with Batistuta, Argentina’s top scorer in World Cups, if he scores 1 more goal. (AA)
