The Japanese, who cleaned the stands, set an example to the world

Japanese fans, who earned the public’s appreciation by picking up litter in the stands after matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, said this behavior stemmed from their culture.

In addition to their performance at the tournament held in Qatar, Japan attracts attention with the exemplary behavior of their fans.

The fans of the Far Eastern country, which caused a big surprise by defeating Germany and Spain in Group E and advanced to the round of 16 as the leader, clear the stands after the games and set an example for the whole world.

The Japanese, who have become the symbol of the tournament, encourage fans from other countries competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup to exhibit this behaviour.

“WE HAVE TO CLEAN”

Satoru Takizawa and Guji Nabe, Japanese fans who followed the 2022 World Cup at the venue, answered the AA correspondent’s questions.

Speaking about the garbage collection in the stands after Japan’s competitions at the tournament, Takizawa said, “This is an example of Japanese culture. We have to clean a place after using it. Of course, we also do this in our country. We take the garbage. It’s a cultural thing. We would like fans in other countries to do the same, and we would be very happy about that.” he said he.

Stating that they are useful and set an example for people by putting their garbage in the blue bags they bring with them, Nabe said, “This is a culture of Japan. We have to clean the dirty places. We have to help people. After the Spain game, I also cleaned the stadium. I saw some Ghanaian fans also picking up the rubbish in the stands and I was proud of that.” he said.

“DIFFICULT IF YOU HAVE TO BE HONEST”

Satoru Takizawa, who also assessed the performance of Japan, who made their mark in the round of 16 in Qatar 2022, said: “This is the first World Cup that I have followed on the spot. It was crazy that we beat Germany and Spain. I can not believe this. We want to be among the top 8 teams. Of course I would love to see us win the World Cup, but the truth is that it is very difficult. I see Brazil as the strongest contender for the championship.” he expressed an opinion.

Expressing that he was very excited about the victory they achieved in the Spain match, Guji Nabe said, “We beat Germany and Spain. It was incredible. I think we can be champions in the World Cup”. he performed the assessment of it. (AA)
