Wout Weghorst: “Louis van Gaal wanted some energy and physical challenge”
Dutch striker Wout Weghorst, who scored 4 points in his first 2 matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, stated that he had to win his last match against Qatar in Group A and stressed the importance of being the leader of the last 16 days.
The 30-year-old Dutch footballer, who was a member of Beşiktaş, made statements after the match with Ecuador, where they drew 1-1.
Stating that they played a tough match, Weghorst said: “It wasn’t our best game. We weren’t good enough. Ecuador is a strong team. We were forced against them. We have 4 points right now and we have everything to be in first place”. he used his statements.
